Our Tote Bags

This Term we have been making Tote bags for our Gala day later on this Term. It is really fun to make. he have learned to use a sowing machine and how to make Tote bags, and if you want to make your own then here is how to make Tote bag.  First you need to find materials, Cut two pieces of  pieces of fabric, Put them facing togetherw then start to pin them together. Use the sowing machine. If you don't know to use it then get an adult to help you. After you have done sowing turn it inside out and start to iron the scenes. after you done that grab straps of any kind and place inside of the tote bag near the top and pin the straps and then start to sow box like this

and then you have a  Tote bag!! (Hopefully)

and If that doesn't work then search it up on YouTube

and that's the end of my tutorial.

Now making the tote bags was really fun but it was hard to find good fabric to use, and when you did and you had your tote bag ready to sow, you had to wait like 20 minutes just for a free sowing machine, but if you were lucky there would  be a free one ready to use, but 80% that didn't happen.

Tote bags are awesome because at first I thought they were this weird bag, but when our teacher told us what they were and why where making them.Well I was surprised. I went from being confused to amazed!

I was so ready to make Tote bags!

So right now I am going to tell why we are making Tote bags!

So we are making Tote Bags so we can reduce the use of plastic bags, since plastic bags are taking over the world right now

And that's why we are making Tote Bags!

So making Tote bags were super duper fun and everyone classroom agrees and I would recommend for you to try make Tote bags.

Reading Book Review

This Term we spent Three weeks on this book review. We had a choice out of two   books. It was between Sunken Forest and Cool Nukes which were both by Des Hunt an  Author in New Zealand. He has also written other books like the Tooth but that wasn't an option. Plus I have read it, but back to what I was firstly talking about.  So I decided to choose Cool Nukes because...  well... I don't know, I guess because the Title Page was Cool (Puns for days). I chose it because it looked interesting. We had to read the book then do a bunch of task like write start, the middle and the end and also use Tinkerkad to create one of the moments in the book, and create on of the characters in the Book and write you favourite moment and others. It was great fun to do and the book was amazing. It was about a boy who just wanted to create cold fusion  to solves the worlds energy problems but he never knew that he would get him into so much trouble and mayhem. Its a great book and I loved it and if I could give it a rating out of ten I would give it 1000000000000000000000000/10

This activity was super fun. It took three weeks to make so I hope you guys enjoyed!

Te Reo Pattens

For Te Reo this week we tried to make Te Reo Patterns with playdoe
It was so much fun to make and challenging. I got stuck on the  on the eight looking one. It was so hard to make I had to restart like 50 times. It was so much fun and I definitely  want to do this again! Here are some photos of the patterns

I did make one more but I couldn't take photo of it because we ran out of time. The other one I made was the Koru pattern. Its harder to make than you think

This was a challenging activity and it may not sound fun but it is, 

   Trust me. At one point it got annoying on one of the patterns I tried to make. I started over so many times that It got too annoying that I gave upon and made the Koru.

This is a very hard and fun challenge...

For me at least

My (Weird) Comic Strip

Hello Again 

Today in Inquiry we did a comic strip about what could happen to you in the online world! 

I decided to do on email and the main character (The one without a shirt over his head)

just got a new email and I decided to make him speak Spanish! (The translations are on the sides!)

It was super duper fun to do! The part that had taken forever was doing the translations! It took a while but in the end I am proud with it! (sort of)

Camping Slideshow!

Hello Blogging World! Today in Inquiry we had make a slideshow about our camp! 

We went to Mt Ruapehu. At Mt Ruapehu we did skiing/snowboarding it was super fun and we all had a great time.

Taekwondo Kicking Compitiction

Hi Blogging World!

Yesterday on Thursday we did Taekwondo! In Taekwondo we did kicking contest and it was super fun! But before that we did relays! We had to run to the middle of the hall then did 5-20 of something then run back then run to the end of the hall and do the same thing then run back. It was a race and it was really fun! After that we did the Competition! It was a kicking Competition and the rules were... 1. Scissor kick only  2. You can't touch the ground with your hand or fall over. and 3.Try your Best! It was really Fun and I came second! Here is a slideshow of pictures of what we did!

Cyber-Smart Commenting

Hi Blogging World!

Today in Cyber -Smart we had to find a blog find a blog post on the blog and then we had to make a comment doing this... There were 4 boxes with a different topic! ( Positive, Thoughtful, Helpful And question!)  We had to put in paragragh or sentence in each box and put it all together to make a comment!

It wasn't that fun  because we do commenting every once and a while. But it was some how more challenging because you didn't just right the comment you had to do it separately and then put it together and try to make it make sense!

Tent Building

Today in Te Waka Ako we made tents! Small tents though! We made them out of modelling clay and toothpicks! It was annoying and fun! We had to make tents out of clay as you know but we had to make them with shapes! So the tent had to be a shape or multiple shapes! The Problems I encountered on the way was that The structure was always  falling down because the model and toothpicks weren't strong enough and half way through I had ran out of clay and the toothpicks wouldn't stick to the modelling clay and my structure had fallen apart last minute so I had to make a simple easy one. The good part was that it was fun and challenging! It was very annoying and it took lot's of patients! I got it down in the end and the joy of it was SMASHING IT!

My first model was a cube and my second was circle and my last one was a Triangle ( my one right now)

Literacy Scramble / Kiwi Kids News / What Do Animals Do In Winter

Today in Literacy Scramble  I read a Kiwi kids news about What Animals ( Bears ) Do In Winter!

It took a while to get the hang on but I figured it out on the end!

It was a while untill I finished it but it was fun to investigated about Bears and hibernating!

It was very Interesting and I learned a lot about hibernating!

What do animals do in winter questions was questions about the article and we had to keep on going between tabs to find the answer!

My Wonder Map!

Today In Inquiry We Had To do a wonder map!

In the middle we had to type in what we know about tote bags and In the think boxes we had to type in what we think could happen and In the wonder box we had to ask a question!

Dear Diary

Today we had to write a dairy as if we were in WW1 and we had to write it in feelings. See, Hear, Taste, Feel, How you are feeling, and thought. Enjoy! 

WALT describe using our senses

	I can see blood, mud and soldiers running around like a headless chicken! It is just  chaos out here! I can see planes and mortars and tanks! I see the worried faces on soldiers! I can see the dead bodies of my own men! Plus I am fine and I miss!  I hope this message gets to you!
	I can hear the screams of soldiers, the sounds of flash bangs and homemade bombs. I can hear the thunder  and the rain clapping.
	I can taste the food that my wife gave me from home  and the delicious cake that was somehow still  good and yummy shape! I thank you for giving me supplies and food!
	I can smell the dead bodies on the battlefield and the poison gas in the air.  The smoke coming from broken down planes, tanks.
	I am feeling the rain on my hand  and I can feel the mud on my face and my hands. I can feel my feel my intervention (sniper rifle) in my hand and my deagle (pistol) by my side and my my machete  on my other side I am ready to battle!
	I feel worried but I feel like a champion that I have gotten this far into the war! I really thought I wasn’t going to survive! I
	I feel like I am going to make it! I think there is only a few days of war left and I really miss my wife and hopefully I will see her soon!

It wasn't so hard because we did watch 2 videos about war and what  it is like in the trench and I also watched some movies about war so it wasn't that hard.

Caesar

Today We read a book about Caesar The Anzac Dog and we had to answer question on what happened in the book! The book was a true story and you should check it out! Hope you Enjoy my Slideshow!

Description of the 6 different symbols or shapes you used. Then add the reason why you chose them. 1. This is like water and land but in a pattern. 2. This pattern is together through the paper and it represents That to hold on together and never let go. 3. This is a mario pattern and it basically represents Mario. 4. I did because I thought it looked nice.

5. This is like a chessboard and chess is a strategy game I put this is because strategy is a challenge and I like challenges. 6. This is like a flower but in a pattern and it represents nature (but in a pattern.
